Dow futures steady after losing week

U.S. stock futures were trading little higher during Sunday’s evening trades as investors watched rising bond yields and the ongoing slowdown in China’s economy, following a weekly fall in benchmark averages. The Dow Jones Futures were unchanged as of 6:55 p.m. ET (10:55 p.m. GMT), the S&P 500 Futures were up 0.1%, and the Nasdaq 100 Futures were up 0.2%. Investors will be keeping a careful eye on new and existing home sales, building permits, core durable goods orders, preliminary manufacturing and services PMIs, Michigan consumer sentiment and expectations, as well as a speech from FOMC member Bowman, in the coming week. Companies like Zoom Video Communications Inc (NASDAQ:ZM), Lowe’s Companies Inc (NYSE:LOW), Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc (NYSE:DKS), Macy’s Inc (NYSE:M), Urban Outfitters Inc (NASDAQ:URBN), NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA), Autodesk Inc (NASDAQ:ADSK), Intuit Inc (NASDAQ:INTU), Marvell Technology Group Ltd (NASDAQ:MRVL), and Dell Technologies Inc (NYSE:DELL) reported earnings. The performance of U.S. indices on Friday was mixed, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 25.8 points or 0.1% to 34,500.7, the NASDAQ Composite fell 26.2 points or 0.2% to 13,290.8, while the S&P 500 finished unchanged at 4,369.7. The Dow, S&P 500, and NASDAQ all experienced weekly losses of 2.1% to 2.2%. United States 10-Year rates were approaching new 15-year highs of 4.257% on the bond markets.
