KraneShares enters the German ETF market, listing six UCITS strategies on the Deutsche Börse Xetra

Krane Funds Advisors, LLC (“KraneShares”), a worldwide asset management firm known for its China-focused exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and creative China investing strategies today announced the cross-listing on the Deutsche Börse Xetra of six euro-denominated KraneShares ETFs. 

Krane Funds Advisors, LLC is the KraneShares ETFs’ investment manager. The organization focuses on offering clients with ways for capitalizing on China’s significance as a critical component of a well-designed investment portfolio. KraneShares ETFs are new, first-to-market strategies established by the business and its partners based on their extensive investment experience. These tactics enable investors to stay current on global market movements while also providing significant diversity. Krane Funds Advisors, LLC has signed the UN-backed Principles for Responsible Investing (UN PRI).

KraneShares began operations in the United Kingdom (UK) and Europe in 2018 to better serve investors in the region with its renowned China-focused ETFs. KraneShares creates strategies geared to satisfy the specific demands of its UK/European clients in addition to launching UK/Europe-specific versions of its most popular US-listed funds.

The six euro denominated KraneShares ETFs includes: 

1. KraneShares CSI China Internet UCITS ETF (Ticker: KWBE)

The CSI Overseas China Internet Index is tracked by KWEB. The Index is made up of publicly traded Chinese companies whose main business or activities are on the

Internet and Internet-related areas.

2. KraneShares MSCI China A 50 Connect UCITS ETF (Ticker: KBA)
   The MSCI China A 50 Connect Index is tracked by KA50. The Index is made up of 50 large-cap Shanghai and Shenzhen listed equities (A-shares) that are available on Stock Connect.

3. KraneShares MSCI All China Health Care Index UCITS ETF (Ticker: KRUE)
   KUREtracks the MSCI China All Shares Health Care 10/40 Index. The Index is intended to follow the equity market performance of Chinese healthcare companies.

4. KraneShares ICBCCS SSE STAR Market 50 Index UCITS ETF (Ticker: KSRE)
   The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) Science and Technology Innovation Board 50 Index is tracked by KSTR. The Index is made up of the 50 largest businesses listed on the SSE Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) based on market capitalization and liquidity.

5. KraneShares MSCI China ESG Leaders UCITS ETF (Ticker: KESG)
   The MSCI China ESG Leaders 10/40 Index is tracked by KESG. The Index’s goal is to provide exposure to Chinese companies that have strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) ratings in comparison to their sector peers. KESG has an EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) Classification under Article 8, indicating that the fund supports environmental or social features and invests in companies that adhere to good governance principles.

6. KraneShares Electric Vehicles & Future Mobility ESG Screened UCITS ETF (Ticker: KARS)
   KARS tracks the performance of the Bloomberg Electric Vehicles ESG Screened Index. The Index includes companies that manufacture electric vehicles and/or their components, as well as those involved in other efforts that may influence the future of transportation. KARS is classified as article 8 SFDR.

He also mentioned that the company believe that investors in the region have a strong affinity for investing in China, and their UCITS ETF portfolio, which includes themes such as China internet, electric vehicles, clean technology, China A-Shares, fixed income, and others, represents a distinct approach to gaining exposure to the world’s second-largest economy.
